Itch.io Debut of Chopper Tank Flak
Chopper Tank Flak v1.4.5 (initial release)
Well, Chopper Tank Flak is now on itch.io; it has been on Unity Play for about a year and in that time received 4 major updates, covering AI, graphics and additional levels. I am hoping to get feedback on the game to help direct its development; especially since I am also working an android version, and publishing on Google Play Store is a much more serious commitment.
My main approach to developing this game has been to focus on improving the worst aspect of the game with each update, with the goal of bringing the game to a higher standard of "good enough". Now I feel like the worst aspect of the game isn't immediately obvious. So, now I need feedback.
To anybody reading this post let me know which of these ideas if any should be the focus for the next update:
- Improved AI
- The next step in improving the AI would be to give it an "understanding" of winning the battle, instead of just doing what is best at the current moment
- A ranged unit
- Currently all the units are very similar in how they work, I think a ranged unit would shake things up in a fun way
- Quality of life
- There are several things that could improve how enjoyable the game is, but I'm not sure they justify an update just yet
If anybody has ideas other than what I mentioned above I'm open to suggestions. I think it should also be noted that all three of the above aspects will probably need to be addressed before more levels are added.
